Cardinal Encounters: Share Your Stories of Cardinals, Grief, and Kinship
male cardinal, Bourbon County Kansas-- Photo submitted anonymously

Canebrake is collecting personal stories about meaningful encounters with cardinals, especially moments when these birds have become connected with loved ones who have died.

Responses may appear in a future article published here. You may include your name or submit anonymously.

You do not need to believe that cardinals are connected to the dead to contribute. Stories of skepticism, curiosity, uncertainty, or other perspectives on these encounters are also welcome.

If you are comfortable, please provide the general location where your encounter took place to help root these stories in place.

Email submissions to mylesray0@gmail.com or use the submission link below.
